Certina have recently introduced some classically designed watches and upgraded their range to reflect surrent tastes in sports watches. The DS Pilot series includes this well proportioned 38mm automatic version which comes on a solid bracelet which gives the whole watch some real heft. Simple and legible, the Pilot is suitable for use below as well as above water given the screw crown and 100m water resistance. To make the watch a little different from other aviator styles, this one employs what is almost a flat case back , thus the case sides account for most of the thickness - unusual and looks very rugged.
